由杜斌丞与国立北平师范大学同学会捐薪创办的陕西省私立力行中学在划归西北石油工业学校后，成为西安石油大学办学之基础。西安石油大学杜斌丞雕像的竖立，不仅是西石大人对杜斌丞先生的纪念，更是对学校历史根脉的溯源赓续、文化精神的凝练升华以及育人使命的时代呼应，是西安石油大学文化建设的重要里程碑，具有历史传承、精神感召、教育实践等多重意义。

The Private Lixing High School, founded by Du Bincheng and the Alumni Association of National Peiping Normal University, became the foundation of Xi'an Shiyou University after it was assigned to Northwest Petroleum Industry School.The erection of the statue of Du Bincheng in Xi'an Shiyou University is not only a memorial to Mr.Du Bincheng, but also a trace of the school's historical roots, the condensation and sublimation of cultural spirit, and the response to the mission of education in the era.It is an important milestone in the cultural construction of Xi'an Shiyou University, which has multiple meanings such as historical inheritance, spiritual appeal and educational practice.
